It Is Out!

My husband's first e-pub release is now available on Smashwords and Barnes and Noble!  I am so proud of all of the hard work that he has done to get so far.  If you are in the mood for a fun children's ghost story, buy The Whispering Ferns now!

  1. Already have my own copy. Is it possible to tell whether or not I was the first buyer? I'd love to have that honor. Please don't be offended, but I probably won't be getting Reluctantly in Love or Taste of Honey. It took me 3 months to read Sense and Sensibility. I did finish though, unlike a certain uncle you have :)

  2. I think that you might have been the first buyer Randy! When he checked after seeing that you had bought it there was only one sale listed, so I'm betting hat it was you! Congrats! Wow, I'm just surprised that you stuck with that book and finished it. But don't worry I know that my books aren't for everyone. Luckily I have quite a few non-romance books banging around in my head so you can wait for those to be written and released and try my writing then. Hope that you enjoy Kris' book!

  3. !!!!WOOOOOTTT!!!!! I'M DA MAN!!! *doing the happy dance* Tell Kris if it ever makes it to hard cover, I will be mailing my copy to you for his autograph.

I've got a stubborn streak that never lets me put books down. To the best of my knowledge, there has only been 2 books I refused to finish in my life. I can't even remember the titles. About chapter 10 is when I had serious doubts I wouldn't be able to make it. When the widow and daughters got kicked out of the estate. But I slugged it out. After I made it past the halfway mark, I figured, "well, I made it this far and survived..."

It was actually a very good story, it just could have been told in about 20 pages rather than the 800+whatever-it-was. And I struggle so much with the old-style grammar. I have to work too hard to get a page done. They should come out with a modern language version.

I love virtually all young adult books (sans romance) They allow me to continually relive my childhood. Something all grown-ups desperately need. As for adult books, anything your husband likes is probably a safe bet. A lot of action and historical accuracy are right up my alley.
